I began learning the chlorophyll printing process in May of 2026 in anticipation of returning to Cuba to volunteer on a series of farms in Soroa. I wanted to explore a tactile process that allowed me to feel closer to the work. This is a moment where constraints induced a new train of thought. Without access to a darkroom I began exploring alternative processes and found this as a way to Marie’s subject and medium in a meaningful way.
